Having developed Odin Sphere and GrimGrimoire, Vanillaware has proven itself a capable developer, and it'd be a shame to see its games stop moving Westward. Vanillaware is remastering their PS2 tower defense game, GrimGrimoire with graphical improvements as well as some updates to the system. Whatever's going on over at Vanillaware, this might be cause for concern among foreign fans of Japanese games. This one is a story-focused trailer, introducing the game’s prologue and the misadventures of Lillet Blan, a young witch who finds herself stuck in a five-day time loop.

Recent times have also seen publisher UTV Ignition give up on Vanillaware's Vita RPG Dragon's Crown, which led to Atlus USA picking up the project. Nippon Ichi Software has released a new trailer for GrimGrimoire OnceMore, a remake of the original PS2 game GrimGrimoire. It's a shame Vanillaware couldn't or wouldn't do a little more to move the process along for its foreign fans.

This grammar point is overlooked too often, and XSeed's proper use of it shows that this cancellation is by no fault of its own. Grand Knights has the turn-based aspect, and GrimGrimoire the RTS. Muramasa has fun fast-paced action, Odin Sphere has interesting mechanics and a truly inspired visual design, Dragons Crown is over the top and a big goofy with its dungeon master narrator. We regret not being able to bring the game to our fans, but we are committed to our 2012 lineup and look forward to sharing more on these games in the coming weeks and months. Honestly its really hard to pick because each game scratches a bit of a different itch.

Developed by FourQuarters and published by Devolver Digital, Loop Hero is a deck-building rogue-lite RPG that feels compelling and totally unique compared to its peers in the same genre. Unfortunately, it was determined that development resources required to localize the game were not available, necessitating its cancellation. Falcom has announced a The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel TV anime project. XSEED Games has confirmed it will not publish Grand Knights History in North America as previously announced.
